Children

In addition to exciting adult-focused services, Topeka Baptist seeks to reach out to the younger members of your family. As a parent, you can trust that we are doing our best to partner with you as you pass on your faith to your child. 

 

Our goal is that during the time your child is in our ministry he/she will learn three basic truths:

1) Faith - I can trust God no matter what.

2) Wisdom - I need to make the wise choice.

3) Friendship - I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

AWANA (Wednesday 6:00-7:45)
We offer AWANA clubs for pre-K through 5th grade.  AWANA is where children will receive age-appropriate discipleship.  Children will work on Scripture memory, while learning to understand and apply it to their own lives.  They will also enjoy friendly competition during gametime.  Our goal in AWANA is that children would come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.



 
Kids Church (Sunday 10:45)
Elementary-age kids are in a constant state of discovery. Think about all the different things they are trying for the first time and what they’re learning every day, even how to make (and keep) friends. How can we tap into the way kids are naturally wired to discover‚ so they can begin to experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them and how much He loves them? How can we show them God’s big story and help them discover the active part they can play in this life-long adventure, to be more like Him? Kid’s Church PROVOKES DISCOVERY, inviting kids to live out their new understanding of how to grow in relationship with God and with others.
 
 
Sunday School (Sunday 9:30)
Our hope is that children in Sunday School can dig deeper into God's Word and learn about the limitless love that God has to offer them. We also hope the relationships that the children build in class will last a lifetime and that they’ll look forward to spending time each week with kids their own age. We provide appropriate Bible lessons in the classroom for 2 and 3 year olds, 4 and 5 year olds, 1st - 5th grade girls, and 1st -5th grade boys.
 
 
Nursery/Toddler (Sunday 9:30 & 10:45)
Our Nursery & Toddler classes serve infants and toddlers ages 0-3 years. We provide a safe, clean environment where we can minister to their physical and spiritual needs as that they become aware of the love God has for each of them. We desire to give even the youngest children the opportunity to praise the Lord that has so miraculously created them!

 

Vacation Bible School (June 3-7)
VBS is a special week full of excitement for those entering pre-K through 5th grade.  Each day is filled with Bible stories and activities, kid-friendly crafts, energizing games and delicious snacks.  This is a wonderful opportunity for children to reach out to friends who don't yet know God.




Kids Camp (June 11-14)
Kids Camp is for children entering 3rd-6th grades.  Children enjoy 3 days and nights at Camp Aldrich in Western Kansas.  Activities include swimming, horseback riding, hayrack rides, games, crafts and other activities.
